We would also like to welcome our new Pre-School starters:
Isla Scrivener, Ellie-Mai Daines and Edward Antrobus
Our committee members are Joanna King (Chairperson), Keely Pestell (Secretary), Caroline Smith (Treasurer), Nicola Sime, Gemma Wilkins, Laura Seymour and Vicki Taylor.
The Pre-School requires additionalfunding of over £12,000 per year to run. This money is solely raised by the committee, who organise fundraising events in their spare time. Without this money our Pre-School would not be able to function. If you would be interested in getting involved and becoming a committee member or helping hands member, please speak to one of our current committee members at morning drop off or at the end of session, or any other member of Pre-School staff. We appreciate and need as much help as possible.
Please keep registering on the Easy Fundraising website (www.easyfundraising.org.uk) when you internet shop and we can continue to raise valuable funds for the Pre-School.
Get your thinking caps on! We will be hosting a quiz night as our spring term fundraiser and would love for you to make up a team and join us. Full details and ticket sales will follow shortly!

We’d like to bring your attention to a few upcoming important notices
The Book Club have once again published a colourful array of books on special offer. For every £1 you spend on books, the Pre School earns 20p of Scholastic Rewards. Please visit http://schools.scholastic.co.uk/steeple-bumpstead-parent to browse the collection and place an order online.
You will shortly be receiving a note listing 50 things to do before you’re 5, devised by Talk, Listen, Cuddle (TLC). A great way to brighten up these cold, dreary winter days – remember to take photo’s to show us!
You will also be receiving a letter regarding an increase in grant funding. This is a government agreed scheme which states that all local authorities must have a single base rate for all providers.
We continue to ask for assistance from parents during our busiest times; predominately during library bus visits and primary school settling sessions when we struggle to accompany some of the children, whilst monitoring those remaining in the setting.
It is a great opportunity for you to also see how we operate and an insight into the fun your child has, enjoying their mornings of learning through play, whilst forming friendships with their peers.
In our last newletter, I mentioned that we are collecting old children’s welly boots for our outside display, please donate any old, unwanted wellies to us.
TERM SESSION TIMES & LUNCH CLUB
This term’s sessions will operate, Monday to Friday, from 9am until 12 noon. Lunch club will also be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 12 noon until 1pm at a cost of £3.82 per session. If you haven’t already included lunch club in your funding (or if your child is too young for funding) you can book these extra sessions on the day and you will be billed at the end of the month.
Although the weather seems to slowly be warming, coats; scarves; gloves; hats and wellies are still recommended – please ensure they are each named. Our outdoor play area is available to the children throughout the Pre-School sessions, weather permitting, and we want them to have fun but stay warm and safe!
PARENT & TODDLER GROUP
I just wanted to give another small reminder that Parent and Toddler Group runs in the main hall every Tuesday during term time, from 10am-12 noon. The health visitor comes to the group on the 2nd Tuesday of every month and the cost is £3 per session.
Please contact Jenna on 07805 061169 for more information or pop along for a visit.
